SUP FAMILY CONNECT × BERLIN OPTICAL · MEMBERS ONLY
A closer look. A better way to support our children.
When reading feels tiring, a child may not know how to explain it. For this members-only SUP Family Connect event, we invited optometrist Jeff from Berlin Optical to help families understand how their children’s eyes work together—and explore playful ways to support visual skills with professional guidance.

THE EXPERIENCE
Understanding our children, together.
As parents, we see the unfinished page or the child looking away. What we may not see is whether looking at the page feels comfortable. This workshop gave families space to ask questions and look beyond first impressions, with an optometrist there to guide the conversation. Jeff assessed participants’ visual skills and introduced game-based training activities. Children had the chance to try the equipment, while parents learned how to follow up at home with the activities Jeff recommended. The aim was to make an unfamiliar subject approachable: something families could explore together, rather than another task on a child’s to-do list. This is the heart of SUP Family Connect. Raising children in the AI era takes more than keeping up with technology. It also means understanding their everyday needs, listening carefully and knowing where to find support. By bringing parents together with professionals such as Berlin Optical, we hope to help families feel better equipped for that journey—one shared experience at a time.

Visual difficulties can make near work uncomfortable. They do not establish or rule out ADHD or a learning difficulty; persistent concerns deserve appropriate professional assessment. Vision information: National Eye Institute ↗
